Why Eureka? Why E³?
The word "Eureka", derived from the Greek heurēka ("I have found it"), signifies discovery, enlightenment, and the pursuit of knowledge—ideals that resonate deeply with both Freemasonry and our commitment to education.
At Eureka-North Shore, we believe that Masonic education is the key to personal and collective growth. We are more than just a lodge—we are a beacon of knowledge, a forge for refining minds, and a sanctuary for those who seek more than surface-level understanding.

What’s in a Name?
We call it E-Cubed—or E to the Power of 3 (E³).
Not only is this simpler to say than Education & Enlightenment Evenings, but the cube itself is a powerful Masonic symbol, representing perfection, stability, and balance.
The number three holds deep significance in Freemasonry—reflected in the three degrees, the three Great Lights, and the three principal officers of the Lodge. It serves as a reminder of unity, wisdom, and strength, principles that form the foundation of our Craft.
But the symbolism doesn’t stop there. Look deeper, explore further, and share your insights with your Brethren. The pursuit of knowledge is, after all, what E³ is all about.
