This website (the “Site”), Guest Wi-Fi network (the “Network”), social media accounts, and any other digital or physical platforms representing or affiliated with Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269, Inc. (“Eureka Lodge,” “ENS269,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) are owned and operated by Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269, Inc., a Florida Not for Profit entity recognized under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Florida, Free & Accepted Masons. This includes but is not limited to all Lodge-related websites, mobile applications, online forums, social media pages, email communications, messaging platforms, and any other means by which Eureka Lodge provides information or interacts with members, visitors, and the public.

By accessing or using the Site, Network, or any Lodge-related activities or services (collectively, the “Services”), you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use immediately. Eureka Lodge reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our Site, Network, or Services after modifications are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, Network, or any Lodge-affiliated Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. Eureka Lodge reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms at any time, with changes becoming effective immediately upon posting. Users are strictly prohibited from:

Any violation of these Terms may result in immediate revocation of access, Lodge-imposed restrictions, legal action, or other appropriate measures at the sole discretion of Eureka Lodge.

3. Guest Wi-Fi Use & Security

Eureka-North Shore Lodge provides multiple secured networks on-site, each designated for specific Lodge operations. Visitors are strictly limited to the Guest Wi-Fi, which is provided exclusively for temporary use by individuals physically present at the Lodge.

By connecting to the Guest Wi-Fi, users acknowledge and agree that:

  • Guest network access is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked at any time without notice.

  • Tampering with, attempting to access, or interfering with any non-Guest network (including administrative, internal, or restricted-use networks) is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action.

  • Content filtering is strictly enforced to block access to websites and services related to adult content, gambling, illegal activities, and unauthorized downloads.

  • Network traffic may be monitored for security and operational integrity, but individual browsing history is not stored or retained beyond necessary security logs.

  • Use of the Guest Wi-Fi is at your own risk. The Lodge assumes no liability for security vulnerabilities, unauthorized access, data interception, cyber threats, or any consequences arising from use of a public wireless network.

The Lodge maintains a zero-tolerance policy for tampering, unauthorized access attempts, or any misuse of its network infrastructure. Violations may result in immediate removal from the premises, revocation of network privileges, or legal action as deemed necessary.

4. On-Site Security & Surveillance

To ensure the safety of all members, visitors, and Lodge property, Eureka-North Shore Lodge operates 24/7 video and audio surveillance throughout the premises. Security cameras are installed in common areas, entry points, and other locations to deter unauthorized activity and enhance security.

By entering Lodge property, you acknowledge and accept that you are under video and audio surveillance, as indicated by posted signage throughout the premises. Surveillance footage is stored securely and accessed only by authorized personnel for security purposes.

  • Tampering with, obstructing, or attempting to disable security cameras or recording equipment is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action, which may include removal from the premises, permanent revocation of privileges, or legal action.

  • Security footage is not shared or distributed unless legally required by law enforcement or court order.

  • The Lodge reserves the right to review and utilize footage for security investigations, incident verification, and property protection.

By remaining on Lodge property, you consent to these security measures. If you do not agree, you should not enter or remain on the premises.

5. Information Collection & Data Protection

By accessing or using the Site, Network, or any Lodge-affiliated digital services, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, processing, and use of certain data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, license, or authorize the unauthorized use of any of our materials for personal, corporate, or commercial gain.

Ownership & Protection of Lodge Content

All content published, displayed, or distributed across Eureka Lodge’s official website, social media accounts, digital platforms, printed materials, and Lodge-affiliated properties (collectively, the “Eureka Platforms”) is protected under U.S. and international copyright laws. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Text, articles, and publications

  • Lodge-produced images, photographs, and videos

  • Logos, branding, and artwork

  • Historical records, Masonic research, and educational content

  • Event materials, Lodge documents, and fraternal archives

Unauthorized Use & Prohibited Activities

The unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, alteration, or commercial exploitation of any content from the Eureka Platforms is strictly prohibited. This includes:

  • Using our content for personal, business, or unauthorized Masonic purposes without written consent.

  • Altering, misrepresenting, or republishing any Lodge material without approval.

  • Downloading, copying, or redistributing images, videos, or proprietary Lodge documents without permission.

Fair Use, Educational Integrity & Lodge Content Rights

Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269, Inc. (“Eureka Lodge”) acknowledges the principles of Fair Use as recognized under U.S. copyright law, which permits the limited use of copyrighted materials for educational, historical, research, commentary, and nonprofit purposes. Accordingly, Eureka Lodge exercises its right to utilize third-party materials where legally permitted to support Masonic education, historical preservation, and charitable initiatives.

Eureka Lodge’s Use of Third-Party Materials

As a nonprofit, educational, and historical organization, Eureka Lodge reserves the right to:

  • Reference, display, or cite historical records, images, symbols, or publications when used in good faith for Masonic education, research, and discussion.

  • Curate, archive, and distribute historically significant materials for educational or scholarly purposes, provided that such usage aligns with Fair Use exemptions and nonprofit protections.

  • Utilize third-party media (such as books, articles, artwork, and archival photographs) within legally permissible educational frameworks, ensuring proper attribution when required.

Restrictions on Third-Party Use of Lodge Materials

While Eureka Lodge respects Fair Use principles, Fair Use does not grant third parties the right to misuse, alter, or misrepresent Lodge content. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Misappropriating Lodge-produced content for personal, commercial, or unauthorized Masonic use.

  • Copying, modifying, or distributing proprietary Lodge materials without proper authorization.

  • Using Lodge materials out of context in a manner that misrepresents Freemasonry, Eureka Lodge, any Lodge within District 26 under the Grand Lodge of Florida, all regular Lodges chartered by the Grand Lodge of Florida, or any recognized Lodges in amity with the Grand Lodge of Florida.

Legal Protection, Enforcement & Remedies

Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269, Inc. (“Eureka Lodge”) asserts full legal protection over its content, intellectual property, and digital materials under U.S. and international copyright laws, nonprofit protections, and applicable Masonic governance. Unauthorized use, misrepresentation, or misuse of Lodge-produced content will be actively challenged and pursued.

Eureka Lodge reserves the right to:

  • Claim legal exemptions under Fair Use for educational and historical content.

  • Challenge copyright claims made against its lawful use of historical or educational materials.

  • Take immediate legal action against unauthorized use, misrepresentation, or infringement of Lodge materials.

  • Issue cease and desist notices for copyright violations or intellectual property misuse.

  • File legal claims and pursue appropriate remedies against infringers.

  • Report violations to hosting providers, social media platforms, and legal authorities.

Eureka Lodge actively monitors for unauthorized use of its materials. Violators will be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law. 7. Member Privacy & Photography Policy

Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269, Inc. (“Eureka Lodge”) values and upholds the privacy, confidentiality, and security of its members. Membership status, contact details, and personal information are considered privileged and will not be shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties without explicit member consent or a legal obligation (e.g., court orders, law enforcement requirements, or Masonic governance policies). Requests for member information are strictly reviewed and handled per Masonic regulations and applicable laws.

Photography, Videography & Media Use

Eureka Lodge regularly documents its events, meetings, and fraternal activities through photography and videography for historical preservation, Lodge records, internal communications, and promotional use. By attending Lodge events, members and visitors acknowledge and agree that they may be photographed or recorded, and such media may be used in the following ways:

Opt-Out Requests: Members or visitors who do not wish to be photographed or included in Lodge media must submit a written request to Lodge leadership before attending an event. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate requests, complete exclusion from event photography cannot be guaranteed.

Unauthorized Use & Media Restrictions

  • Lodge media is for internal and fraternal use only and may not be altered, misrepresented, or redistributed without prior authorization.

  • Tampering with, misusing, or misrepresenting Lodge-related media in any way that distorts its intent, falsely represents Freemasonry, or violates the Lodge’s rights is strictly prohibited.

  • Any unauthorized use of Lodge media by external entities will be challenged and, if necessary, pursued through legal or administrative channels.

10. Monetary Transactions & Refund Policy

Our Site may provide links for dues payments, donations, or purchases of Lodge-affiliated merchandise. Transactions are processed through third-party payment providers, including but not limited to Zelle, PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and any other future electronic payment platforms the Lodge may adopt.

  • Dues payments and degree fees must be made via electronic payment, check, or money order. Cash is not accepted for dues or degree fees.

  • Donations and small transactions may be accepted in cash, but electronic payment is preferred.

  • Merchandise purchases are only refundable if defective or incorrectly fulfilled.

  • All in-person monetary transactions should be submitted directly to the Lodge Secretary or Treasurer.

If a petitioner is blackballed or black-cubed (i.e., not favorably elected during the balloting process), a refund will be issued in accordance with Lodge bylaws and the Florida Masonic Digest. The decision to accept or reject a petitioner is final and binding, though applicants may be eligible to reapply at a later time as outlined in Masonic regulations.

Eureka-North Shore Masonic Lodge No. 269 operates under the sole jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Florida, Free & Accepted Masons, a recognized and established governing body within mainstream Freemasonry. Our Lodge and all affiliated activities, discussions, and materials adhere strictly to the traditions, principles, and jurisprudence of regular, recognized Freemasonry as practiced by lodges in amity with the Grand Lodge of Florida.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any disputes, claims, or legal actions arising from the use of this website, Lodge premises, guest Wi-Fi, digital platforms, or any Lodge-affiliated services shall be exclusively handled within the courts of the State of Florida.

By using Lodge resources, users, members, and visitors agree to waive any objections to personal jurisdiction and venue in Florida courts. Any legal challenge to these Terms must be filed within the appropriate jurisdiction or be deemed invalid.
