No. Freemasonry is not a religion, nor does it dictate political beliefs. While belief in a Supreme Being is a requirement, Freemasonry welcomes men from all faiths and does not promote any specific doctrine.
Likewise, political discussions are prohibited within Lodge meetings to ensure unity among members of all backgrounds. Eureka-North Shore Lodge embraces diversity and mutual respect as core principles.

Masonic rituals and symbols serve as moral and philosophical teachings, guiding members toward self-improvement. Symbols such as the Square and Compass represent ethical conduct and wisdom.
At Eureka-North Shore, we uphold these traditions while also engaging in deep historical discussions that help members better understand the allegorical and practical lessons of Freemasonry.
-
Freemasonry is structured into three primary degrees: Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason.
These degrees represent a Mason’s journey through learning, growth, and mastery of Masonic principles. At Eureka-North Shore, members progress at their own pace, guided by experienced mentors, and participate in meaningful degree ceremonies that reinforce the values of the Craft.

Bro & Reverend Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
“Freemasonry has no dogma or theology. It offers no sacraments. It teaches that it is important for every man to have a religion of his own choice and to be faithful to it in thought and action. As a result, men of different religions meet in fellowship and brotherhood under the fatherhood of God. I think that a good Mason is made even more faithful to the tenets of his faith by his membership in the Lodge.”
